![]() ![]() If your ISP messes with torrents then change it to forced encryption. The real best choice for most people here is encryption enabled (called prefer encryption by some clients). If you have no encryption then you cant talk to anyone with forced encryption and get the same problem that forced encryption gives you as it limits the pool of peers. This is usually a larger pool of people, so might get you better speeds and will ensure that there is not a situation where you cant grab a torrent from someone with a different encryption status than you. If you choose the encryption enabled option then you can talk to people with encryption on and people with no encryption. This will limit the peers you can connect to and you will never be able to download some low seed count torrents because the seed has encryption disabled. The downside is that this requires other clients to have encryption too. :Pįor example, with forced encryption, you use this when you must have an encrypted connection because your ISP is blocking unencrypted torrent traffic. You want guides that give you the reasoning behind the choices so you can understand what is going on. Nothing to apologise for as everyone falls for these kind of guides, and there are tons of them that all claim to be the best, but there is always something badly wrong in them. ![]()
